Benefit formula75% of your after-tax average weekly wage — gross wage minus federal and state income tax and FICA — read from the Workers' Compensation Commission's conclusive weekly benefit tables.[1]
Maximum weekly $1,776.00 a week for injuries Oct 1, 2026 – Sep 30, 2027 [2]
Minimum weekly$355.20. The minimum is 20% of the maximum, but never more than 75% of your gross average weekly wage.[2]
How the limits are setMaximum = 100% of the state average weekly wage, reset every October 1. The Commission publishes a table per filing status for every whole-dollar wage.
Waiting periodNo pay for the first 3 days of incapacity; if it lasts 7 days, compensation is paid from the date of injury.[1]
How long TTD lastsNot longer than the period of total incapacity; no week cap for TTD.[1]
Partial (TPD)75% of the difference between after-tax wages currently earned in a comparable position and after-tax post-injury earnings; max = 100% of average weekly earnings of production and related workers in manufacturing ($1,175 for 10/1/2026; $1,220 for 10/1/2025); no minimum; up to 520 weeks.[1]
Average weekly wageTotal wages from the employer during the 52 calendar weeks immediately preceding the week of injury divided by the number of calendar weeks actually employed (7 consecutive days absent = a week absent; partial first week excluded). Concurrent employers' wages included if the injuring employer's wages are insufficient to reach the max.[1]
