Nevada rule sheet
| Benefit formula | 66⅔% of your average monthly wage, converted to a weekly rate.[1] |
|---|---|
| Maximum weekly | $1,308.86 a week for injuries Jul 1, 2026 – Jun 30, 2027 [2] |
| Minimum weekly | Nevada sets no minimum temporary total benefit.[2] |
| How the limits are set | Nevada caps the monthly wage at 150% of the state average; the Division of Industrial Relations publishes the resulting weekly maximum each July 1. |
| Waiting period | Nothing is paid unless you are off at least 5 consecutive days (or 5 days within 20); once you are, compensation runs from the date of injury.[1] |
| How long TTD lasts | For the period of temporary total disability; no week cap. Ends when physician finds employee capable of any gainful employment, employer offers light/modified duty, or incarceration.[1] |
| Partial (TPD) | The difference between the wage earned after the injury and the TTD compensation the worker would receive (when wage is less than that compensation), for not more than 24 months.[1] |
| Average weekly wage | Average monthly wage: 12 weeks of earnings before injury (1 year or full employment period used if not representative, and must be used if it increases AMW; min 4 weeks); gross earnings ÷ days in period = average daily wage; × 30.44 = AMW. Reported cash tips included; employer health insurance excluded. Concurrent employment wages summed.[3] |
Worked example, Oct 5, 2026
- Average weekly wage$1,000.00
- 66⅔% of wage$666.67
- Inside the $0.00–$1,308.86 band$666.67
- Off work 28 days: waiting days paid back, 28 days paid$2,666.68
- Nevada TTD per week$666.67
A higher earner at $2,500.00 a week would get $1,308.86 — the Nevada maximum, not $1,666.67. A worker earning $300.00 would get $200.00.

After Jun 30, 2027, the calculator asks you for the official maximum until Nevada publishes the new figure — it never guesses.
What trips people up in Nevada
- Benefits are figured monthly (AMW × 2/3), then converted: daily = monthly ÷ 30.44; weekly = daily × 7; usual payment is every 14 days.[2]
- An offer of light-duty work ends TTD (offer must be substantially similar in location/hours and pay).[1]
- Longer earnings period must be used if it raises the AMW.[3]
- Concurrent employment wages count (employers covered by private carrier or self-insurance).[3]
- Reported cash tips count toward wages (except under $20/month or non-cash).[4]
