Arizona rule sheet

Benefit formula66⅔% of your average MONTHLY wage, plus a flat $100 a month if anyone is dependent on you.[1]
Maximum monthly Maximum average monthly wage $6,131.00, so the most TTD can be is $4,087.33 a month before any dependents allowance (Jan 1, 2026 – Dec 31, 2026) [2]
Minimum monthlyArizona sets no minimum benefit. Until your monthly wage is determined, payments are based on a $200 minimum monthly wage for workers 18 and over.[2]
How the limits are setArizona caps the wage, not the benefit: monthly wages above the Industrial Commission's maximum average monthly wage for your injury year are not counted. The Commission indexes that cap each year for injuries in the next calendar year.
Waiting periodNo pay for the first 7 days after the injury; if the disability continues a week beyond those 7 days, compensation is paid from the date of injury.[3]
How long TTD lastsPaid during the period of disability; no week cap in statute.[1]
Partial (TPD)66⅔% of the difference between wages earned before the injury and wages the injured person is able to earn thereafter; unemployment benefits count as wages able to be earned. No week cap stated.[4]
Average weekly wageAverage MONTHLY wage at time of injury; 'monthly wage' means the average wage paid during and over the month in which the employee is injured. If not continuously employed for the 30 days before injury, AMW is what reasonably represents monthly earning capacity (prior wage or similar employees). Wages above the annual max AMW are excluded.[5]

Worked example, Oct 5, 2026

  1. Average monthly wage$4,333.33
  2. 66⅔% of AMW$2,888.89
  3. Inside the $0.00–$2,888.89 band$2,888.89
  4. Off work 28 days: waiting days paid back, 28 days paid$2,659.36
  5. Arizona TTD per month$2,888.89

A higher earner at $10,000.00 a month would get $4,087.33 because wages above $6,131.00 a month are not counted. A worker earning $1,200.00 would get $800.00.
