Wyoming Workers' Comp Calculator
Wyoming pays injured workers two-thirds of monthly earnings, up to a maximum the state resets each year. The current dollar figure is not on file, so the calculator asks you for it instead of guessing.

Wyoming rule sheet
| Benefit formula | Two-thirds of your actual monthly earnings, but at least 30% of the statewide average monthly wage, and no more than the lesser of your earnings or that statewide average.[1] |
|---|---|
| Maximum monthly | Not on file — the calculator asks you for it. |
| Minimum monthly | The floor is 30% of the statewide average monthly wage. |
| How the limits are set | Wyoming's cap and floor come from the statewide average monthly wage for the 12 months before the quarter of injury, recomputed quarterly by the Department of Workforce Services. |
| Waiting period | No pay for the first 3 days; they are paid if the incapacity lasts more than 8 days.[1] |
| How long TTD lasts | Cumulative 24 months per incident, unless extraordinary circumstances.[1] |
| Partial (TPD) | No clean TPD formula: a 'temporary light duty' award applies under a written light-duty agreement; it stops if earnings from all sources plus the award exceed 95% of pre-injury monthly earnings; light duty limited to 1 year cumulative.[1] |
| Average weekly wage | 'Actual monthly earnings' at time of injury excluding casual or unscheduled overtime and fringe benefits (overtime = hours over 40/week)[1] |
Worked example, Oct 5, 2026
Without a verified maximum on file, the arithmetic stops at the formula: a monthly wage of $4,333.33 × ⅔ = $2,888.89. If that is below the maximum on your benefit notice (and above the minimum), it is your monthly rate; enter the official figure in the calculator above to apply the limits.
