Vermont rule sheet
| Benefit formula | 66⅔% of your average weekly wage, plus $20 a week for each dependent child under 21, with the total capped at 90% of your wage.[1] |
|---|---|
| Maximum weekly | $1,914.00 a week for injuries Jul 1, 2026 – Jun 30, 2027 [2] |
| Minimum weekly | $638.00. If your wage is below the minimum, you receive 90% of your wage instead.[2] |
| How the limits are set | Maximum = 150% and minimum = 50% of the state's average weekly compensation figure, effective each July 1. |
| Waiting period | No pay for the first 3 days; if total disability lasts 7 consecutive days or more, they are paid.[1] |
| How long TTD lasts | No week cap: payments shall not continue after the disability ends.[3] |
| Partial (TPD) | Beginning on the 8th day of disability, the greater of (A) the §642 TTD amount (including COLA/dependency) minus wages earned, or (B) two-thirds of (pre-injury AWW minus current earnings); plus $20/week per dependent child under 21 (subsection (b) repealed July 1, 2028)[4] |
| Average weekly wage | Average weekly earnings during the 26 weeks preceding injury (excluding weeks absent for sickness/suspension; only the higher wage counts if recently promoted); concurrent covered employment combined.[5] |
