Missouri rule sheet
| Benefit formula | 66⅔% of your average weekly earnings on the date of injury.[1] |
|---|---|
| Maximum weekly | $1,294.71 a week for injuries Jul 1, 2026 – Jun 30, 2027 [2] |
| Minimum weekly | $40.00. The statute says the benefit is never less than $40 a week.[2] |
| How the limits are set | Maximum = 105% of the state average weekly wage, effective each July 1 for injuries in the fiscal year. |
| Waiting period | No pay for the first 3 business days of disability; if the disability lasts longer than 14 days, they are paid retroactively.[3] |
| How long TTD lasts | Not more than 400 weeks during the continuance of such disability.[1] |
| Partial (TPD) | 66⅔% of the difference between the average earnings prior to the accident and the amount the employee will be able to earn during the disability; max 105% SAWW; not more than 100 weeks.[4] |
| Average weekly wage | Weekly/monthly(× 12 ÷ 52)/yearly( ÷ 52) fixed wages; hourly/daily/output wages: wages in the last 13 calendar weeks immediately preceding the week of injury divided by 13 (or by weeks actually employed if fewer). Gross wages include board/lodging value and reported tips; exclude fringe benefits.[5] |
Worked example, Oct 5, 2026
- Average weekly wage$1,000.00
- 66⅔% of wage$666.67
- Inside the $40.00–$1,294.71 band$666.67
- Off work 28 days: waiting days paid back, 28 days paid$2,666.68
- Missouri TTD per week$666.67
A higher earner at $2,500.00 a week would get $1,294.71 — the Missouri maximum, not $1,666.67. A worker earning $300.00 would get $200.00.
